  • Port Royal National Historic Site - This national historic site features a reconstruction of early 17th- century buildings representing the former colony of the French who settled for a time along the Nova Scotia coast. Costumed interpreters and period demonstrations help recreate the look and feel of Port-Royal, one of the earliest settlements in North America. Visitors can also take in the panoramic view of the Annapolis River and Basin.

  • North Hills Provincial Museum - North Hills Museum is located in Granville Ferry, NS, on the shores of the historic Annapolis Basin. The museum is housed in a 200-year-old "salt box" house originally known as Rumsey Farm.

  • Valley View Provincial Park - Valley View Provincial Park offers visitors a spectacular view overlooking the Annapolis Valley. On a clear day you should be able to see almost all the way from Middleton to Digby.

  • Kejimkujik National Park - Kejimkujik, the only inland national park of Canada in the Maritimes, features abundant lakes and rivers ideal for canoeing. The lush woodlands and gently rolling landscapes are home to a variety of wildlife. Visitors will find historic canoe routes, portages and many beautiful hiking trails in the park.   • Fort Anne National Historic Site - Fort Anne National Historic Site of Canada is Canada's oldest - a present day reminder of a time when conflict between Europe's empire builders was acted out on the shores of the Annapolis River. It offers a sweeping view of the beautiful Annapolis Basin from the centre of Annapolis Royal. Museum exhibits highlight the history of the fort.

  • O'Dell House Museum - Located on the Annapolis Royal waterfront in a circa 1869 stagecoach inn and tavern, the O'Dell House Museum is the former home of Nova Scotia Pony Express rider Corey O'Dell and his family. The ground floor of this period Victorian structure allows you to step back in time and explore the inn's parlour, dining room, kitchen and small office. The second floor houses several rooms of interpretive displays which document the sea-faring and ship-building past of the Annapolis Royal area and the everyday lives of its citizens.
